Tyra Banks was a fashion model her entire life and is the host of America's Next Top Model. After she finished her career on the runway, she gained some weight on her super skinny body. Critics began mocking her and calling her FAT and she stepped up and fought back. Instead of People magazine bashing her weight gain, they took her side and allowed her to tell the world that having meat on your bones is a beautiful thing, not negative! She used her words to empower the lives of others and to remind girls that you are beautiful no matter what!

This is one of the hottest shows on television. Women compete to become America's Next Top Model and earn a contract as a model. The primarily female audience watches the show and sees beautiful, skinny women competing for the top spot. Rarely someone of average weight, never someone short, but always frail and too thin. We even see the judges tear the contestants apart when a little bit of body fat is revealed! Not to mention we see the women struggle with eating disorders & body image on national television. But because the media is portraying this as beauty, we believe that we, too, should be tall, thin & nothing more...and look just like the models do.
